The 4041-S is an omnidirectional microphone that uses the 24mm (1') MMC4041 modular microphone cartridge with the totally transparent MMP4000-S solid state preamplifier. The cartridge can be unscrewed from the preamplifier, allowing for the exchange of the preamplifier module. The mic's frequency response from 10Hz to 20kHz with a 4-6dB soft boost around 8kHz, matches the response of the highly acclaimed 4040 Hybrid Microphone. A stereo pair with mounting kit is designated 3532-S.
