A very high quality short-shotgun microphone. It gives unusually low coloration for off-axis sounds compared to most interference tube designs by providing a higher degree of directivity at medium frequencies with a relatively broad polar pattern at higher frequencies. This pattern is symmetrical for both horizontal and vertical axes. The lightweight all-metal housing is robust enough for location use and is a one-piece design, unlike the Colette series. The low cut (wind and handling noise), roll-off (proximity effect) and HF emphasis (windscreen compensation) filters are all controlled by electronic push-button switching with LED indication, the settings being retained while unpowered.
